– His Excellency Sh. Shankar Dayal Sharma Honoured Rahul Arya, who painted his portrait at Rashtrapati Bhawan, July, 1997.
– Sh P.V Narsimha Rao honored a book on Jose Martin with the cover portrait by Rahul Arya The original is now at Jose Martin study center at Havana, gifted by the people of India to those of Cuba in 1995.
